Core Beliefs
Improving health and wellness is a universal, human pursuit that requires consistency, intention and curiosity. What we do matters less than when, how, or why — movement is medicine, but it's just one part of the whole.
Finding practices that resonate, feel safe, and encourage connection to one’s Self is highly supportive of embodiment. Embodiment can lead to empowerment and increased self-awareness. As each of us are unique and multilayered, this process requires a slightly different recipe depending on the individual. When we become active participants in our healthcare, agency and understanding of our personal needs grows. With these practices, the more we connect to ourselves and our humanity, the more we may become in tune to all beings, our environment and our collective needs.
Utilizing the 5 koshas method taught as the Pentagon of Wellness, we approach each session focused on the physical, energetic, psycho-social-emotional, intellectual and spiritual layers of the self. Incorporating practices, such as breathing, movement, intention setting and meditation in order to create individualized care. This is integrative health, viewing wellbeing from many angles.
Proactive and preventative strategies to strengthen or repair the body’s physical health and wellbeing. Typically preformed before and after injury or surgery, this approach can also benefit movements throughout daily life. Practices include anatomy education, breath and core connection, self-myofascial release, and corrective exercises, linking PT to full return to activity.
Pregnancy, labor and delivery, and parenting are some of the most grueling active endeavors. Supporting maternal embodiment to encourage strength and balance in mental and physical health during the prenatal and postpartum period. Practices include alignment, breath, core connection, general strength, and community support for pregnant people before, during and after pregnancy.
All Bodies Welcome
All levels of interest in embodiment and self-care healthcare are welcome — whether you're pregnant, postpartum, recovering from PT, managing chronic pain or simply curious about a new approach to movement, Erin McCabe Wellness is here for you.
Guided self-care healthcare with Erin McCabe Wellness is approached through one or a combination of the following four offering categories. Embodiment practices can look different for each individual: working one on one with Erin, in a small, private group, in a larger, public workshop or independently at home with a virtual course. Whichever feels best for you is the right choice and will only further support your path to wellness. No prior experience is necessary!
Currently the bread and butter of Erin McCabe Wellness, these sessions look and feel similar to personal training or physical therapy. Individuals work directly with Erin in studio or virtually on Zoom, receiving customized movement regimes, including personal support, guidance and cues. Session content and frequency are unique as well, further supporting your own wellness goals and financial abilities.
With the use of the online platform Thinkific, Erin McCabe Wellness shares on demand courses. Available wherever and whenever you have space, time and wifi, these courses offer extensive information in video, audio and written content. Purchase once and have lifetime access: move through the lessons at your own pace and return to them whenever you’d like.
In small groups of two to four people, Erin McCabe Wellness offers personal support and wellness community together in one place. Private to those selected and consented into the group, these sessions create a safe space for participants to share, move and breathe, ultimately healing and growing both their physical and mental health. Groups can meet in person in the studio or virtually on Zoom.
The newest offering from Erin McCabe Wellness, this 3 month program is for other professionals (athletic trainers, yoga teachers, personal trainers, or healing arts practitioners) or those who just want to dive deeper into embodiment practices in a group program setting. Offered once a year to a small group with access to all virtual courses, live recorded monthly calls, and 1:1 check-ins.
