Tools to Get Started

You don’t need to purchase anything; equipment is available in the studio and in classes. But, if you’d like to have your own at home, here’s a good place to start.

Yoga Tune Up Balls

These are my favorite tools for rolling and self-care. I carry the Coregeous, individual Alpha and Therapy Plus Pairs in the studio; or you can purchase any online.

Yoga Mat

Any yoga mat will do! TJ Maxx or Marshalls always has some good options at a low cost; for these options, I like Gaiam best. If you want something more durable or cushioned, Manduka is my favorite brand!

Yoga Blocks

Any blocks will work - foam, cork, etc. Again TJ Maxx or Marshalls always has some good options at a low cost.

Blanket

The best style of blanket is a Mexican blanket - woven cotton, 4’x6’, easy to fold and dense. You can also use a thick beach towel or a wool blanket in a pinch.

Bolster

I prefer this rectangular bolster, but there are many options. You can always use a few pillows or couch cushions!

Ask about prop rentals

I have most of these props or tools available “for rent” if you want to try them out before you purchase or while you wait for yours to arrive.
